• Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (CP-4044) 2016–2018

Position: Research Assistant

Brief description of research: This project allowed the establishment of the most advanced Non-linear BioOptics Research Laboratory in Bangladesh, which allowed the researcher to diagnose Neoplasia (cancer) in blood samples using Non-linear Optical Characterization of Blood Plasma.

Responsibilities: Designed and fabricated an automated Z-scan and result processing system that can effectively distinguish between cancerous and non-cancerous samples reliably and in just 30 minutes with a custom-made sample holder of 80𝜇𝑙. The entire system has been developed within the lab facility. Additional responsibility was to collect blood samples and medical data from partner hospitals and conduct UV spectroscopy and blood cell quantification using a hematology analyzer. Since 2021, I have been involved as a part-time research assistant, contributing remotely with the team.

Position: Research Intern (Non-Compensated)

Brief description of research: This project contributed to the establishment of the Non-linear Optics Laboratory in Bangladesh, which allowed the researcher to diagnose Non-linear Optical Characterization of several organic materials and proteins.

Responsibilities: Designed and fabricated lab automation systems using embedded systems and electromechanical systems and sample scanning devices for various Nonlinear Optical experimental techniques, enabling M.Phil. and Ph.D. students to conduct research.
